So, what is a Community Garden?

A community garden is a single piece of land that is gardened together, by a group of people. The Edgewater Beach Gardeners Association’s community garden offers individual plots for those who want to grow their own herbs, flowers, fruits, and vegetables. Each member has a plot that they are required to maintain and also agree to help keep the community garden in pristine condition. We host potlucks, have work days and volunteer with our partner community organizations, such as Care for Real. The community garden keeps us all connected to our neighborhood and love of everything Chicago.
